Show Your Vote began as a Google 20 percent time project, developed after Justin met environmental campaigner Al Gore and helped build the web presence of the Earth Hour campaign.
The platform included a virtual ballot box that could be embedded into any website, letting people around the world register their support for a fair and effective climate deal at the UN summit in Copenhagen. It was officially sanctioned and supported by the UNFCCC, and the open source platform was later reused in other advocacy initiatives, including Earth Hour 2010.
